49 | Do you hear me?
49 is an experimental typeface using the same shape for every letter of the alphabet, consisting of 49 modules. The use of color is crucial for differentiating each character while reflecting on form, counter form and the tensions between them. The typeface was first conceived when looking at a picture of a building with a similar graphic shape on it.
The poster series further contemplates the expanding quality of the typeface, as well as its potential for subliminal messaging, whereas the animated posters 'Do you hear me?' also create a correspondence with musical notes.
Riso-printed posters 'Do you hear me? (I)' and 'Do you hear me? (II)' are for sale at Hutspot and at my shop.
